But he who steal from me the leaves of Bartlett

Melodrama
R
If you want a receipt for a melodramatical,
Thrillingly thundery, popular show,
Picks up an old father, rigid the emphatical,
Driving out his/her daughter in the snow;
A hero's love, brave and Hacketty;
A rascal's hate in suits in the evening;
Comic relief that is Irish and racketty;
Schemes of a villainess that murmur oaths;
The bank and the safe and the wish and the falsification--
All of them built on traditional norms--
Dark Villainess and Lucrezia Borgery
Helping the rascal until her reform;
The old mill to midnight, a rapid delivery;
Music of violin, entirely scary and shivery;
It plots that is diabolic, terrible, iniquitous;
Heroin frightened, its appointment is precarious;
Tombola!--the liberation!--the movement emphatically goes--
Happily go out the rascal and every endeth!
Takes of these elements some You care around,
Puts 'em in Texas, the Bowery or thereabout;
Puts in the dust and goes out away the grammar,
And the certain result is a perfect melodrammer.
A Poor Excuse But Our Really
(Because he/she never writes any poetry of child?
--A MOTHER.)
My neighbour hath of right a child,
A beautiful child of five or you are,
No more than the other children wild,
Neither fuller that the rest of makeups--
At five o'clock him increases, the shine or rain,
And noisily "fire" of plays or "train."
Likewise a girl, _aetatis_ eight,
Him the hath. Every morning as a rule,
Proudly my neighbours will report
As it is to bright school Mathilda.
My ardour, less that mean of mild,
Offer me to make comments, "Marvelous child!"
