Capitolo 64
Failure. . . the time comes soon or later well. . .
The night has to come. . . and I will be one whom grabs on,
Desperately, to hold the applause an instant,,--
Tender of the lad that waits in the wings.
The music changes tone. . . a room is darkened,
Someone is moving himself/herself/itself. . . the crack of white light widens,
And all are dark again; you suddenly cultivate falls
A wandering disk of light on floor and walls,
You wink out, he/she returns again, staircase and it comes down,
Glints on a clock, a glass, tightens again him to the obscurity;
And then finally, in the chaos of that place,
Shines it likes fire frozen on Your clear face.
Well, I have found Him. We have finally met.
You won't now escape me: in Your eyes
I see the horrible huddlings of Your past,--
Everybody that you remember blackens, it sends forth to whine,
You bring far hands and faint. I hold the light
Next to Your cheek, you look at pupils' psychiatrist grieved,--
The scurvy ghosts of everybody that you think meanly look. . .
All the hates of my life have now met
Tender tall carnival. . . we don't speak,
My fingers find the beloved throat that they looks for,
And it presses, and throwing You down. . . and then forgetful.
Who plays for me? What sudden drums hold time
To the ecstatic rhythm of my crime?
What flute does it screech as strikes of out clear of moon the floor? . .
What a violin so weakly the to whine
Seeing how oddly in the moon he lies? . . .
The room once more it grows the dark,
The crack of white light tightens around the door,
And all are silent, omits a complaining himself/herself/itself slow
Of flutes and violins, as music lowering.
Takes my hand, then walks with me
From the unfathomable and slow crashings of a sea. . .
Look, as white they are these hulls on this sand!
Takes my hand,
And it looks at the waves it raced inside from the sky
You flank to I foam him/it line to dip and to die.
The music that has limited our lives is lost behind us,
Niggardly it seems. . . here in this place wind-dangled
Immovable under the enormous time of the sky of lapis lazzuli
