Capitolo 23
It is graves you/they were dug in the earth, and coffins passed,
It is music it declined with the hours that decline.
And dreams went along its veins and shed clouds
Thrown dripping shades on walls and towers.
XI.
Snow's falls. The sky is grey, and gruffly it flashes
With you redden lights in the road of canyoned.
The ardent signal on the dark tower garlands and burns. . .
The grass trodden in the park is covered with white,
The roads grow silent under of our feet. . .
The urban dreams, forget its past to-night.
And one, from his/her bright tall window that looks down
On the spellbound whiteness of the city,
Seeing through whirlwinds of white the grey and vague towers,
You desire as this to forget what won't pass,
The done papers the litter, the dust, the blackened grass,
Grey death, the old graceless ugliness and soaked times.
I lavish in his/her heart the old bells they are stricken again,
Bells pronounced in indistinct way of the pain and the pain,
Dull echo of horrendous times and poisonous places.
He desires to drown in a white and cold peace of snow.
He desires to forget a million faces. . .
In the one room a woman that dies because of hunger breathes.
The clock slowly works and stops. And nobody leaves him/it without breath.
In a fading of room grey violets in a vase.
Snow weakly flakes him hisses and melts on the window.
In a room, minute minute, flutist's plays
The page of lamplit of music, the tireless staircases.
Its hands are trembling, its short errors of breath.
In a room, silently loving glances on person in love,
And he/she thinks the air it is fire.
The drunkard swears and touches the deepest feelings of the whore
With the sudden hand of desire.
And one goes to the roads late, and he/she thinks to murder;
And one lies fixing, and he/she thinks about death.
And one whom has suffered shakes his/her hands despairing,
And it holds his/her breath. . .
Who are all these that flow in the veins of the city,
Spool and it turns and he/she dreams,
Does it fade away or does it sparkle?
Some climb on above to the brain and they bloom in fire.
