Charles looked for thoughtfully in the fire a moment, as if
this contingency was not now introduced to its mind up to that.
Suddenly its face made on, and he responded. "I would run away

All laughed to this, and it said Frank: "But that would not be acting
as a brave soldier, Charles. You should be and you/he/she should do the

"I would not like to be and to be shooted", said Charles
naïvely.
