I looked under, and it with my eye physical everybody that national
individuality with which I had inflicted until here only
the understanding. And as poor man and shady it was the inflicted conjecture
I respect with the reality that I now see! My four Children
calmly dormant in the North-western rooms, my two orphan Nephews
to the South; the Servants, the Butler, my Daughter all in them
many apartments. My affectionate Wife, only alarmed from mine you/he/she continued
absence, had ended its room and you/he/she was wandering on and down in the Room,
anxiously attending my return. Also the Page, wakened up by mine to whine,
you/he/she had left his/her room, and under pretext to verify if I had
fallen in some place in a faint, you/he/she was investigating in the locker in my study.
All this that I could now See, inflicts only not; and as we came more neighbors
and nearbyer, I could discern also the contents of my locker and the
two gold chests and the tablets of which the Sphere had made mention.
Touched by the anguish of my Wife, I would have jumped descending
to reassure her/it, but I was me incapable of motion.
"You don't get excited on Your Wife", says my Guide:
"she won't have gone away from very in anxiety; in the meantime,
I/you/he/she allow us to take an examination of Flatland."
Once more me I felt me rising through space. It was equal as
you/he/she had said the Sphere. The further one we receded from the object that we have seen,
the greatest became the field of vision. My native city, with
the inside of every house and every therein of the creature, placed open
to my sight in miniature. We climbed on taller, and here, the secrets
of the earth, the depths of the mines and intimate caverns of the hills,
it witnessed open me.
Awestruck to the sight of the mysteries of the earth, so it disclosed
before my unworthy eye, I told my Companion, "Sees, I am become
as a God. For the wise men in our country says that that sees all the what,
or as them they express, OMNIVIDENCE is alone the attribute of God."
