Then out in the gardens Violet went with a heavy heart; for
she was tired so long, its strength had almost gone. But the
flowers talked to low voice their gratitude, and it folded up their leaves as if theirs
the blessed one; and when she saw the garden filled with loving friends,
who strove to console and to thank her/it for his/her care, the courage and strength
returned; and raising on thick clouds of fog from which hid her/it the
flowers that ask, alone and confidently she started his/her job.
As it spent time, the Cold-king feared that the assignment had been
too very hard for the Fairy; sounds were felt behind the walls of fog,
bright shades seen to pass among, but the small voice was never
felt. In the meantime the gilded light was grown weak by the garden,
the flowers were arched the heads, and all were dark and you cool as when
the kind Fairy came.
And to the austere King its house seemed more desolate and sad; for
he failed the warm light, the happy flowers and, more than everybody,
the cheerful voice and the bright face of small Violet. Then he wandered
through his/her dark building, asking himself/herself/itself as him had been happy
way of living first without light of the sun and love.
And the small Violet cries as died in Fairy-earth and a lot of torn wounds
it was shed, for the kind Fairy it was beloved from everybody, from the Regina
down to the humblest flower. Sadly they looked on every bird
and flower that she had loved, and it strove him to be as her in
kind words and actions. They brought garlands of cypress, and he/she spoke of her
as one whom they should not see again never.
This way them dwelt in deeper pain, cultivates there one day it came to them a
unknown messenger, wound in a dark mantle that looked with asking himself/herself/itself
eyes on the bright building, and it flower-crowned elves that kindly
the gives the welcome one, and it brought fresh dew and rosy fruit to refresh the
extraneous tired. Then he said theirs that he came from the Cold-king,
