Methoughts that I am returned to the great room, where I had been the
morning before; but to my surprise, instead of the society that me
gone there away, I saw, toward the superior end of the room, a beautiful
virgin, sat on a gold throne. His/her name, as they told them me, it was
Public credit. The walls, instead of being decorated with portraits
and maps, were suspended with many Actions of Parliament written in gilded
letters. At the superior end of the room the Great Charta was, with

on the left. At the lowest end in the room the action was of
