The Mr. Graham?" Asked George Melville.

"Because I have seen an advertising announcement of Jones & Fitch in the one of the
weekly papers. They advertises to send many articles to some
you address on receipt of seventy-five cents in postage stamps of postage."

"Very well. What inference does he/she deduce from this?"

"Doesn't he/she see?" Answered Eben, in malevolent triumph. "That is where

"Will I read the letter gentleman?" Asked Melville, of the judge.

"HERBERT CARR."

Herbert listened to the reading of this letter in amazement.

"I never wrote that letter", he said, "and I never felt of Jones &
