When the skies were bright and equitable.
"Good Frog Master, against a battle fights,
And the power of the foeman is without money."

You cultivate the heart it is full of the obscurity,

Always fearing the worse one.

And the happiest life accursed.

When the noontides sun it rides tall,

KING COTTON.
King Cotton bewares of his/her window
Toward the sun of westering,
And him brand, with a suffering horror,
What its run almost works.
Its form is thin and withered;
Its cheek is pale and pale;
And the lines of care on his/her ploughed eyebrow
Trembles to look on.
But yesterday a monarch,
In the throw of water of his/her pomp and the pride,
And, not contained with his/her his/her own wide earths,
He would dominate the world close to.
He built him/it a grandiose building,
With gold from over the sea;
And he placed with care the angle-stone,
And he called him/it Slavery:
He summoned an army with flags,
Tender his/her enemies in bay;
And, looking fixed with pride on his/her walls of building,
He said, "Yours will be standing for yes!"
