Capitolo 14
Through flame and it smokes that fearless heart
Still answered firmly,
Unawed, nevertheless affronts to face with death,-
"With the good help of God I want!"
The flames draw near with long footsteps of giant,
Them the superficial scorch his/her hand and eyebrow;
An arm, invalid looks for his/her side,
Ah! he is now conquered!
But no, its teeth have firmly put,
He crushes down his/her pain,
His/her knee on the pressed support,
Him guide again the ship.
A moment anchors! a moment anchors!
Brave heart, performs of thy it is o'er,
The pebbles grate under of the keel.
The steamboat touches beach.
Thankful three hundred increase of voice
In encomium to God that him
Hath saved them from the terrible fire,
And from the engulphing sea.
But where is it, that boldfaced of helmsman?
The captain saw him/it spool,-
Its enervated hands released their assignment,
He sank close to the wheel.
The wave received its lifeless dead body,
Blackened with smoke and fire.
God remains him/it! Hero never had
A funeral pyre and more noble!

Monk Anselmo (the grace of God is able him the victory!)
Salesclerk one sad day a deadly sin;
What that you/he/she is done him it drew again, he/she same-abhorred,
From the presence that it reproaches of the God,
And, kneeling down himself/herself/itself, it implored, with to whine bitter,
From when life was unworthy adult, that is probable that he dies.
He knelt every night, and, when the morning broke,
In patience he still waits for the fatal hit of death.
When all in once a to whine some acute anguish
Anselmo wakened up by his/her wretchedness;
And, seeming from the window of tall convent,
He saw a wounded traveller that gasps lie
Only under that, it hurt and stricken aching,
You/he/she had crawled for help to the door of convent.
The monk's heart with compassion deep mixing,
When the moans of the poor wretch for help were felt
With kind hands, and it touched with divine love,
He bathed his/her wounds, and it poured in oil and wine.
With tender foresight it would appreciate all of his/her necessities,--
