Then he cried to tall voice in joy.
"I have finally found the hero! This small child is the child of some
warlike brave. These are the broken pieces of the sword of the warrior.
Such fortune for Mimes!
"The boy will be a warrior as his/her father. I will bring him/it to my cavern
and he takes his good care.
"When he is grown me I will do him/it pay me for my care and my pains. Him
it will kill the dragon. Then I will take the ring."
He softly lifted the small child as as him he/she knew how, and verse started
his/her cavern.
Again he heard the same strange voice:--
"Siegfried is his/her name, and only he who know that any fear can arrange the
sword."
"Have! have!" Mimes snickered. "That voice doesn't know that that a skilled
blacksmith Mimes you/he/she is.
"I will arrange the sword and Siegfried it will use him to kill the dragon."
He folded up the closing of child in his raw, blackens little weapon.
"Some more years, some more years", him gurgled in joyfulness, "and Mimes
hands will grab the precious gold."
SIEGFRIED ED HIS/HER FRIENDS
Mimes he/she took the good care of Siegfried.
When the boy had started great enough to play around in the wood, Mimes
built for him a small silver horn.
Siegfried loved all the birds and the wild animals.
He knew that they was his/her best friends, for anything in the face of Mimes always
it showed him/it that the dwarf was false.
Siegfried would wander out in the forest with his/her silver rocking of horn
from his/her shoulder.
He would blow his/her small song of horn, and his/her friends of forest would feel
the call and it comes to play with him.
He looked at the birds as them they built their nests.
He listened to the bird of father as him his/her enough small love it warbled
songs.
As pleasant he sang to the bird of mother while she sat on the nest!
And when the small eggs had told them secret, his/her father and the
birds of mother brought food his/her children.
Siegfried saw how softly mother's foxes, wolves, and bears took care of for
their children.
