but, generally speaking, a diver should be of good physicist,
not improperly strong, free from heart or trouble of lung and varicose
veins, and you/he/she should not drink or you/he/she should smoke to excess. It is
however, necessary to have knowledge with the physicist
principles involved, and to know whether to do in emergencies. A
considerable amount of useful information is given by the Mr. R. H.
Davis in his "Manual Immersion" (Siebe, Gorman and Co., 5s.),
