Britanny was Earl of Richmondshire;  I hear of Champagne Earl of Holderness,;
and Ralph of Guader that was to divide in the fall of Roger Fitz
Osbern, Earl of Norfolk. An English that with a lot of less justice it was
to have involved in the fate that exactly these two Norman earls happened,
it was also to this point earl, Watheof that Gospatric had succeeded lately
in the earldom shaken of Northumberland, and that it also held the earldoms
of Northampton and Huntingdon. These men certainly held important
dominions in the called districts, but if so many earldomses, in form
and law, had really been established from the Conqueror to this date, or
it was established later from him to some time, it is very doubtful. The

and Richmond, and almost or rather some that can allow us to be standing
those of Waltheof and William Fitz Osbern, of Kent Chester, and
Shrewsbury.

Independently of the question of the evidence, it is difficult to see that that
