Capitolo 88
For here, a woman decently conducts
The figure of a beaten warrior in the gold;
And so the legend works--the Justice of _I is,
And I will bring again the house of hero,
Once more to hold his/her place inside this city,
Once more to walk the ancestral hall_ of his/her sire.
Man is the symbols from our shown foemen,--
Now takes his/her own decision thine that to send
Against this last opponent! I have said me--
Neither canst you in my news find a defect--
Thine is it, now to correctly govern the course.
ETEOCLES
Ah me, the crazy person and the curse of Sky!
And the pain for us, the tearful line
Of Oedipus and the pain that in this house
The curse of our father has to find completion!
But now, a truce to torn wounds and I complain strong,
So that they should not cross a sorrier moan yet!
As for this Polynices, he/she called too well,
Soon we know how its equipment will end--
If the gold-beaten symbols on his/her shield,
In their angry boast and the puzzled pride,
Will drive him/it as a winner to his/her house!
For it had but the Justice, young girl-child of Zeus,
State next to its action and thought, is probable that would have been!
From the day he never came still, to the light
Out of the obscurity of the uterus of his/her mother,
Never in infancy, neither in young spring,
Neither when its chin was gathering its beard,
The Justice of Hath greeted or he/she asked him/it as her really.
Therefore I don't believe that her the standeth now
Help him/it in this outrage on his/her house!
Amiss denominated, in truth, it was Justice, suddenly,
If to the impiety she lent his/her hand.
Sure in this faith, I want, I go on
And it joins me with him; who the hath more equitable application?
Rule, against a fain to grab the rule,
Brother with coupled, and hostile brother with hostile,
Desire I compare the problem. To the wall!
CHOIR
Or you the true heart, child of Or of Oedipus,
Is not, in anger, also as the man which calls
Murmurs a bad auspice! 'Tis enough
