What the play received, and it holds back, the name, _The Sette against

_Frogs_ (406 A.Cs.), where he describes the play of Aeschylus as
"the Seven against Thebes, an instinct of play with War that some one
who saw you/he/she has had to crave to be a warrior." This is rather a

Thebes is not mentioned at all in the play. Aeschylus, in fact, was
poetizing a first legend of the fortitude of Cadmus. This being
premised, we can adopt, under protest as is, the Aristophanic
