  Away to the Greek earth
  Hath passed the Persian armament:
  Us, from the tall command of the monarch,
  We am the jailers true who are standing,
  Chosen, for honour and descent,
  To look at his wealth who went--
  Watches of the gold, and faithful it drew
  Of Xerxes, his/her child of great Darius!

  But the king went neither you/he/she comes again--
  And for that innkeeper, we saw, departs

  Masistes, Artembares passed:
  Imaeus also, archer's brave,
  Sosthanes, Pharandakes, drave--
  And others the wave of all-nursing
  Of Nilus to the battle it gave;
  Come to Susiskanes, warlike wild,
  It is Pegastagon the child of Egypt,:
  Thee, brave Arsames! from far
  It made holy Memphis they launch to wage war;
  And Ariomardus, tall in fame,
  From Thebes the immemorial ones came,
