Capitolo 85
"Leonard Craig--he is his/her nephew--it says that the Mr. Philip Rigido is to his
uncle's house every evening."
"Does he call Phillip Rigido then, ago?"
"It is not that his/her name?"
"I suppose that it is one of his/her names. He was condemned under that name,
and it holds back here till now it on account of his/her being from him the place of his
sentence. If it is his/her true name or not, I don't know. What is
Your bookkeeper's name?"
"Gibbon of Julius."
"I don't remember having ever felt him. There have evidently been some
knowledge passed among the two men, and that, I should say me, it is not really
a recommendation for the Mr. Gibbon. Clearly that alone it is not enough to
condemn him/it, but certainly intimacy is a mistrustful circumstance."
The two arrived soon to the house of the Mr. Jennings, for the distance it was
only a quarter of a mile.
The Mr. Jennings seemed an a little amazed, but it gave a kind welcome to
his/her unexpected guest. It happened to him that it was probable that he had come to give
of the additional order for good.
"You are amazed to see me", said Thorndike. "I came a lot a
important matter."
A glance of investigation came above to the face of the Mr. Jennings.
"There is a thief in the village--a guest in the hotel--who I recognize
as one of the most competent burglars in the country."
"I think that I know you it intends who, a man of moderate height, rather often
puts, with the small ones, black eyes and a hat of loafer."
"Precisely."
"What can you/he/she tell me around him?"
The Mr. Thorndike repeated the affirmation that he had already done to Carl.
"Does he/she think that our bank is in danger?" asked to the manufacturer.
"Perhaps so, but the principal danger threatens her."
The Mr. Jennings seemed amazed.
"Does thing make her think of yes?"
"Because this man seems to be very intimate with Your bookkeeper."
"How does he/she know that?" asked to the small man, quickly.
"I report her to me to Carl."
"Leonard Craig told me to-night that this exhausted Rigid man every evening
to the house of his/her uncle."
