The Tortoise and the Aquila.

A Tortoise, while lazily cooking himself/herself/itself in the sun, it complained him to the sea-birds of
his/her hard fate, that nobody would teach him to fly. An Aquila, hovering himself/herself/itself
nearby it felt his/her lamentation, and it required that reward she would have given
him, if he picked aloft her up, and it is her/it floating in the air. "I will give
You", she said, "all the wealth of the Red Sea." "I will teach Him to
you fly then", says the Aquila; and picking above her up in his/her talons, he brought
his/her almost to the clouds,--when allowing her of suddenly to go, she fell on a
tall mountain, and destroyed asunder his/her hull. The Tortoise exclaimed
in the moment of death:  "I have deserved my present fate;  for what had me
to do with wings and clouds on that they are able with movement of difficulty around the
earth?"

If men had all of them they desired, they would be often ruined.




The Porcupine and the Snakes.


A Porcupine, while wanting to protect himself/herself/themselves, it desired a nest of Snakes to
give him admission in their cavern. They was prevailed on, and impediment
