PREFACE.
I could never see that true utility there was in a preface to a job
of some kind, and he/she never wrote one without an apprehension that would do
more to confuse that I/you/he/she illuminate the reader.
The good people of Nyack will forgive me, I know that they wants, to take
such liberty of unwarrantable as to locate a lot of my scenes and
characters in and around their small flourishing city. I without doubt have
