Capitolo 13
"who travels all over the world in the interest of whatever fun him
you/he/she can go out of him. And of the afternoons, I clearly find a good quantity
more fun out of him--that I do others. Eh?"
Furiously red blood climbed on in the cheeks of the Young one. "Oh, me
say, Edgarton!" him the pleaded. A sneer unfortunately started, sadly,
spreads on his/her face. "Oh, I say me!" him the faltered. "Me _am_ a fool!"
The Oldest Men threw again him the head and they started to laugh.
[The illustration: 'I am riding', she almost imperceptibly murmured]
To the first syllable of cackle of the laughter, with terrifying him
fatefulness Eve that same Edgarton has suddenly appeared in distance on the scene, in her
old hat of loafer, his/her shirt of grey flannel, his/her khaki marked by the sun
Norfolk and horseback riding-buttock, looking for the whole world as a
small extraordinarily thin boy, extraordinarily torn that it starts only
out to play. Above from the top of a horseback riding-boot the big barrel of a revolver
slightly stuck out.
With his/her black and heavy eyelashes that shade down dismally through her
olive-dyed cheeks, she passed Barton as if she didn't also see him/it
and it directly went to his/her father.
"I am riding", she almost imperceptibly murmured.
"In this heat?" groaned his/her father.
"In this heat", echoed Eve Edgarton.
"There will certainly be a thunder-storm", it protested his/her father.
"There will certainly be a thunder-storm", it was acquiescent Eve Edgarton.
Without the further parleying she turned and it wondered again aimlessly street.
Only for an instant the look of the Oldest Man followed her/it. Only for a
instant with quizzically twisted eyebrows that its look has flashed again
sardonically to Barton you/he/she is suffering from face. Then very comfortable he started
to laugh again.
But right in the middle one of the laughter--as if anything infinitely
more amusing than a joke you/he/she had suddenly tormented him--he shortly stopped, with
an eyebrow stranded intermediary on its forehead.
