Capitolo 16

CLYTEMNESTRA.

A Fire-god, from Mountain Ida shed flame.
From where starting, you illuminate after burst of light of signaling
In hitherward of the flaming communication. Ida before
The Rock of Lemnian of said Hermes which in conformity with signal
You/he/she was taken dominating Athos the divine one,,
With pines immense--yea, fishes of the night
Swum skyward, drunk with that light of leaping,
What it inflated as of the strange sun, up to weak and far
The overseers of Makistos marked a glimmering star;
Them, adverse nowise neither inactively sleep-defeated,
You jump on to launch the ardent communication on,
And a far light over the Euripus says
Those word haths reached the sentinels of Messapion.
They illuminated again, then ahead with a tall
Heap of dead heather that blazes to the sky.
And before still, not failing neither aswoon,
Through the Asopus likes a radiant moon
The great word leapt, and on the height of Kithairon
Uproused a new exchange to race light.
Its observatories knew the wandering flame, neither it hid
Them welcome, burning taller than you/he/she was offered.
Out on Lake then Gorgopis is floating,
To Aigiplanctos, waking up again the wild goats,
Crying for "Fire, more Fire!" It is fire it was reared,
Stintless and tall, a dripping and tempestuous beard,
That rippled in flame over the promontory
You Rock-rippled, that looks at the sea of Saronian,
Making to turn on the night: then a short leads to take
The Steeple of the Spider, the tower of our city of clock;
From where of here to the roof of the Atreidae it came,
A light true-produced some flame of Idaean.
Torch-carrier after torch-carrier, sees
The thereof of the history in stations manifold,
Every one from each perfect fact first it passed,
And the Victoria in the first one as in the last one.
These are my tests and my tokens that my gentleman
From the hath of Troy he/she spoke to me a word that burns.

LEADER.

Donna, speaks on. In expectancy my prayer
Is elevated to God; now allow me of only to feel,
Again and full, the wonder and the joy.

CLYTEMNESTRA.

Now, even now, the Achaian holdeth Troy!
