Will's Coffee-house, April 28.

This evening we was entertained with "The Old Bachelor, " [152] a comedy
of deserved reputation. In the character that gives name to the play,
there the reluctance of a beaten pervert is represented excellently
to enter the trammels of order and the decency: him neither it languishes
neither scorching but Greek frets for love. The gentlemen of more regular behaviour
you/he/she is drawn with a lot of spirit and the intelligence, and the play introduced from the
dialogue of the first scene with not common, still the natural conversation. The
part of Fondlewife is out a vivacious image of the tenderness of age season
and impotence. But instead of jobs so of accords as these, the city
it has this half age been tormented with bugs he/she called "easy writers,"
of who ability the Mr. Wycherley that one day has described well excellently in the one
word: "That", it said him, "among these individuals it engages easy has called,
what some that one can easily write." So elegant scribblers are so justly
laughed to for their sonnets on Phillis and Chloris and fantastical
descriptions in them, that a clever relative of mine,[153] of the
the Personnels' family, the Mr. Humphrey Wagstaff from name has, to avoid them
curtain, perfectly meets him with a new way, and it precisely described things as
they happens: he never forms fields or nymphs or groves, where they is
not, but ago the accidents in the moment in which they really couples. For an example
of him; I stole out of his/her manuscript the following lines: they is a
Description of the morning, but of the morning in the city; no, of the
morning to this end of the city, where my relative currently the cottages.

Now as soon as here and there a trainer of hackney
Appearing, it showed the approach of the red morning.
Now Betty from his/her bed master you/he/she had flown,
And slightly it stole to disarrange her/it really.
The shabby one 'prentice from the door of his/her master,
You/he/she had cut the road, and it sprinkled round the floor.
