An indication of the popularity of the _Tatler_ in its his/her own day is the
list of signature along it premised to the reprint in four volumes of octavo.
Some copies were printed on "real", others on paper of "mean"; and the
price of the first one was a guinea a volume, while that of the second was
half a guinea. There was also a convenient edition and authorized, in twelfth,
