In the tables given here the Latin and Greek names of the listed articles

quantity--for example, the bushel or the quartan--you/he/she has been replaced for
the ancient unity and the corresponding price for the modern unity of
measure is given. This way bowline would be sold by the kastrensis modius
(=181/2 quartans) to 100 denariis (=43.5 cents). To this percentage a bushel of
