Capitolo 18
Man is the man that I am with to-day. Its house is situated beautifully,
neglecting a deep ravine, full of noble pine-trees, and it surrounded from
rhododendrons. The porch is cheerful with geraniums and tall servants in
Imperial red deeply it crusted with gold. Among, all are many
respectable and beautiful, only the man is--not exactly scurvy, but certainly
defective in a rather evident degree. With the most attractive
forms of sin he doesn't have true understanding. I cannot strike harmony with him
on this umbrageous you side of nature. I am shocked seriously to discover
this, for him it strikes the weakness; but its humanity is weak. In his
character I perceive the animal and perfect contour, but the colour is
wanting; the glorious light of the sun, the deep obscurities of humanity are
not there.
Such man is dangerous; he attracts Him with the calls in the trusts. Also Satan
you/he/she cannot respect a sinner of this complexion,--a sinner that is only
fascinated by the guilt of sin. As for my poor innkeeper, I can see,
what he doesn't quite really have never graduate in sin; he has only looked for
sinner's degree the causa_ of _honoris. I am sure that he never had
the enough true vitality or undertaken for sinning as a man you/he/she should sin, if him
you sin. [A man should not clearly sin; and the test of nobler kind
to reduce theirs sinning to a minimum; but when they sins me I hold that
they sins as men. (I have felt it said that a man should sin as a
gentleman; but me very I/you/they are prepared for thinking that gentleman's nature
it appears in you alternate him shiny that not-sin.)] When I speak of sin me
you/he/she will be understood for intending the venial offenses of embezzlement and
sleeping in the church. I am not thinking about sheep-theft or public road
theft. The job of my intelligent friend mainly consists of reducing files of
correspondence on a particular subject to one or two principal thoughts.
On these he throws the colour of his own opinions, and it submits the
subjective product to the Secretary or Member of Board above of him for
