The character of Archdeacons as cleric I would not venture me to touch
on. It is proverbial that the functions of Archidiaconal are Eleusinian in

what I/you/they are the duties of an Archdeacon, so nobody can say if these
duties are finished perfunctorily and inadequately, or meticulously
and with success. We know that Archdeacons sometimes preaches, and that
