Capitolo 45

Switzerland, France, Germany and England, a great line of country,
almost all of what he overflowed and it conquered. A great portion of this
territory had called Gaul in those days;  the part on the Italian side of
the Alps that have called Cisalpine Gaul, while that that the disposition over it was
designated as Transalpine. Transalpine Gaul was substantially what is
now France. There was a part of Transalpine Gaul that you/he/she had already been
conquered and it reduced to a Roman province. Has called her Province
then, and you/he/she has held back the name, with a disdains change in spelling, to
the present day. Now it is known as Provence.

The countries that Caesar went to invade were busy from various
nations and many tribe of what you/they were organized well and war-as, and
some of them were civilized notably and rich. They had extended
lines of cultivated earth, the slant of the hills and the mountain
sides that are formed in green pastures that were covered with raw
of goats and sheep and herds of bovine livestock, while the smoothest and more
lines of level were decorated with vineyards smiling and largely-spread out
fields of undulant wheat. They had city, strong, ships and armies. Them
manners and customs would be considered rather ill-mannered from modern nations,
and some of their uses of war were half barbarian. For example, in the one
of the nations that he/she met Caesar, him found, as he says in his
narrative, a body of cavalry as a constituent part of the army in
what, to every horse there were men of _two_, one the rider and the
other a kind of foot soldier and companion. If the battle went against
them, and the squadron had put to their speed in a retreat, these
lackeys would grab on the mane-of horses, and then, mean the management,
half the flight, they would be borne long on the field, while holding this way
always to the side of their comrades, and escaping with them to a place
of the safety.
