to all you relax the same authority, but it has to maintain him/it under everybody
circumstances in his/her full strength, with a very fixed and definite, although still
kind hand.
I CAPITULATE VII.
THE ART TO TRAIN.
It is a lot in clear way that the simplest and the most obvious of the ways from
what a parent can establish among his/her children the habit of subjugation
to his/her authority, it is those that have been described already, or rather,
punishments and rewards--the punishments, tame in their character, but
it invariably strengthened, as the sure results of actions of the insubordination; and
rewards for the obedience, every now and then and cautiously it gave, in such
way that they can be considered simply recognitions, from
his/her parent, of the good behavior of his/her children and expressions of his
gratification, and not in the light of payment or hire. These are evidently
the simplest ways and the one readier by hand. They asks for anybody
excited or unusual quality from father or mother, unless,
indeed, we consider gentleness, combined with steadiness and the good sense as
an assemblage of rare and elevated quality. To assign, and firmly and
uniformly to strengthen, only but kind criminal punishments for disobedience, and to
recognizes, and you sometimes compensate, special actions of the obedience and subjugation,
it is fully measure inside the course of every parent, however humble you/he/she can be
the condition of his/her intelligence or his/her attainments of knowledge.
_Another Class of Influences_.
There is however, another class of the influences to be adopted, not as a
replaces for these simple measures, but in connection and co-operation
with them, what they will be far more depths, powerful, and permanent in them
results, although they asks for a lot of taller qualities in his/her/their parent for
bringing them with success in effect. This taller method consists in
an effort of _systematic to develop in the mind of his/her/their child a love of the
principle of obedience_, from special messenger and proper training.
