_Irritation and Anger_.

You avoid, as much as possible, every thing of an irritating character in the
punishments inflicted, to frequently irritate the mind of a child

it is true, perhaps, that is not completely possible to avoid this effect
of punishment in all the cases;  but a great quantity can be made for decreasing the
bad from the exercise of a small touch and the ingenuity from the
mother whose attention is direct once particularly to the subject.

The first one and the most greater part of important measure of precaution on this point are
the absolute exclusion of every thing as angry glances and words as
accompaniments of punishment. If You the discovery that some evil that Your child
it commits alarm clock irritation or it irritates in Your mind, suspends Your judgment
of the case and it postpones every action up to that the irritation and anger it has
him lowered, and you can calmly consider and intentionally thing to do, with
a sight, not to satisfy Your his/her own resentment but to do good to the
child. Then, when you have decided thing to do, hands Your decision in
effect in a benevolent way--firmly and inflexibly--but still without
some violence or equal hardness, of way.

_Co-operation of the Offender_.

There are many cases in that, from the exercise of a small touch and
ingenuity, indeed his/her parent can assure the _co-operation_ of his/her/their child
in the infliction of the punishment prescribed for recovering of a guilt.
There are many advantages in this, when you/he/she can be done. It gives his/her child
an interest in to recover him some guilt;  ago anymore the punishment
real;  and it almost removes all possibility of his to produce some
