you fear to those true pains, those genuine, if simple, human affairs
of what he already had so I summon an experience.

However that is been able to be, the coldness combined of his/her reviewers and
failure of its bookseller has had to bring Crabbe among as neighbor a
you draw near to despair as his/her healthy nature it allowed. Now its anguish was
extreme;  he was incurring in debts with small hope to pay them, and
creditors brought pressing. Forty years later him it told Walter Scott and
Lockhart as "during many months when he was tiring himself/herself/itself in early life in
London him as soon as on butcher-meat tasted except a Sunday, when him
usually dined with the family of a merchant, and thought their leg of
meat of ram, crush to the oven in the saucepan, the perfection of luxury." And it was only
after some more tired months, when finally "lack stared at him/it in the face,
and a gaol seemed the only immediate shelter for its head" that him
resolved, as a last resort, to once more placed his/her case first some public
man of eminence and character. "Impulse" (to use his/her his/her own words) "from
of the propitious influence, he mended in of the happy moment on Edmund
Burke--one of the first one of English, and in the ability and energy of
his/her mind, one of the greatest of human beings."

It was in one of the first months of 1781 (the exact date seems to be
undiscoverable) that Crabbes it addressed his/her letter with champions of his,
poetry, to Burke to his/her London residence. The letter has been preserved,
and it races as it follows:--

  "Sir,--I am judicious that I also have need of Your talents to
  excuse for the liberty that I now take;  but I have a declaration
  what, simply it exhorted however, desire, with, a mind as the Your,
  gentleman, gives me pardon. I am one of that exiled on the
  I husk that is without a friend, without job and
  without bread.

  "A short preface forgives me. I had a partial father that
