As all the windows it was blocked and so you/he/she could have gone away open, I didn't mind;
then I went in and closed on.  The thing was finding to be amusing to
me,--always doing anything, and nothing that happens.  I imagine the courage
it is a cumulative thing, if only one has time to accumulate, and these
boys in khaki they also treated the to cannonade as if it were everything "in the
the job in the daytime."

It was only twilight when the body of bicycle returned on the hill.  They had
to get off and to push their cars under the barricade, and they did
it so beautifully, getting off and remounting with a precision that was
clean.

"Nothing", it brought the captain.  "We could not also go to far,--road
raw and too much dangerous.  It is a job of cavalry."

Everything the same, I am sure the Uhlanses I am there.

September 8 th 1914.


I had followed in bed soon Friday evening, and you/he/she was spent an uncomfortable night.
Four were first when I woke up myself and I opened my taxes.  It was a
beautiful day.  I have perhaps told him that the time every last week was
simply perfect.

I went down from the staircases to find coffee for the picket, but when I arrived out
the gate there was not there picket.  There was the barricade but the
road was empty.  Me raced on the road to Amelie.  You told me that them
you/he/she had marched away first around a hour.  A bicyclist evidently had
brought an order.  As nobody spoke English, nobody understood what had
it really happened.  Peer had been to Couilly--they had there every left.
There was not therefore as some that one could discover a soldier English, or
some kind of a soldier, gone away wherever in the commune.

This was Saturday morning, September 5 and one of the days of loveliest me
never the saw.  The air was clear.  The sun was shining.

The birds were singing.  But very still it was otherwise.  I walked out
on the lawn.  Few flanks of white smoke you/he/she was rising from some
fireplaces to Joncheroy and Voisins.  The cities on the plan, from
Monthyon and Penchard on the horizon to Mareuil in the valley, were of relief
