He was an a little amazed to find that her Mrs. Harding, instead of looking
depressed, looked happy rather than otherwise.
"I was not aware you had such a young child", him the remarked, looking at the
child.
"It is not mine", Mrs. said Harding, shortly.
"A neighbor's child, I suppose", thought the landlord.
In the meantime he scrutinized from nearby, without seeming to do so, the
furniture in the room.
To this point the Mr. Harding entered the house.
"Good-morning", said Colman, affably. "An excellent morning, the Mr. Harding."
"Rather this way", his/her tenant answered, shortly.
"I have called, the Mr. Harding, to ask if you are ready with Your quarter
lease."
"I think that I told her last evening as me I was situated. Clearly I am
sorry."
"Then it is me", suspended the landlord, "for me I can be forced for having
resorted to unpleasant measures."
"You mean that we have to leave the house."
"You cannot clearly wait him to remain in him, if you are incapable to pay
the lease. I suppose", he added, while taking an inventory of the furniture
with his/her eyes, "you will go behind away to an enough amount of furniture
to cover Your debt."
"You would not certainly strip us of our furniture!"
"Is there some injustice in to ask for payment of honest debts?"
"There are cases of that description. However, I won't put her to the
trouble to impose on my furniture. I am ready to pay Your quotas."
"Does have him the money?" Asked Colman, in surprise.
"I have, and anything on. You box my control for five hundred
dollars?"
It would be difficult to paint the amazement of the landlord.
"You certainly told me a different history the evening" glance, he said.
"Last evening and this morning are different times. Then I could not pay
You. I am fortunately, now, able. If you will accompany me to the bank, me
you draw some money and you pay Your account."
"My dear gentleman, I am not to all in alacrity for the money", says the
landlord, with a return of his/her affability. "Some duration inside a wish of week
face. I hope, by the way, you will continue to occupy this house."
