others. Mothers and wives and sisters, with breaking hearts and trembling
benedictions, offering that the heroes, go--offering them on their country
altar. Oh, it would not be so but for the true virility that ours
government infuses in faithful citizens. It would not be so, but for the
Christianity that protects without dictation, and it admits without
ostentation.



II. We now come to the question, _What constitutes rebellion against good
government_?


There can be also criminal rebellion against a bad and oppressive
government. The people can take the law in their his/her own hands, and it put to
death, or it imprisons their rules without _first_ that has tried,
constitutional methods of compensation. But I speak of rebellion against _good_
government--as us you/he/she has already had in revision. There is a difference
between insurrection and rebellion. The first one is an action of a people or
population against an only statute, or against a portion of the
legislative promulgations, without necessarily growing in war or
turn against the whole constitution and the laws. This can become
rebellion. There is also a difference between rebellion and revolution.
The second, in a political sense it is a change, or completely or partly,
of the constitution. This can be effected by matter and a peaceful
votes--from abdication, from a change of national policy in sight of some new
relationship, and from general approval, or from war. "The revolution in
England in 1688, was caused by the abdication of James II., the
establishment of the House of Orange on the throne, and the to restore of
the constitution to his/her primitive state."

Our revolution of' 76, and before, it was not a rebellion;  it was resistance
of oppression, of serious taxation without equal representation and it
results in our separate nationality.
