GOVERNMENT IS REBELLION

Government and Rebellion.


  A bad the man's seeketh only rebellion;  therefore a cruel messenger will be
  expeditious against him.--Prov. xvii. 11.


We have in these words this simple announcement--that Rebellion is a crime,
and you/he/she will be visited with terrible judgment. Here Solomon speaks his really
sentences;  God declares his/her thought, and you/he/she sends forth his/her sanction of law.
This is also the expression of disposition to conscience,--vindicate in ours
you face the Divine procedure, when the majesty of insulted government is
affirmed, and criminal punishment applied.

God never neglects rebellion against his/her throne--never the pardons the rebel
until him it repents and it submits. God doesn't command that we forgive ours
similar offensive, unless they repents. "If transgression of brother of thy against
thee seven times in one day and seven times in a turn in the daytime to thee, saying,
I repent, you shalts forgive him/it." God is in a clement attitude;  then
owes us we are. But he doesn't do the pardon of _express_ up to that the rebel
penitence of special messenger;  neither we am under obligation to _pronounce_ a
enemy forgiven until him means its compunction and is distressed, and it desists
from his/her harmful behavior. If my rebel of child against my law and my
correct discipline, I am not permitted from the spirit of love to undertake him/it
with revenge;  neither I am tied up from the law of God to release him/it from
the criminal punishment of his/her sin, until him you/he/she will have exhibited signals of subjugation,
of the pain, and of the obedience. I can be sorry for him/it, and he/she tenderly take care of toward him the
_spirit_ of the pardon;  but for his own cause, for the order of the
family, and on account of my innate sense of the justice, I don't owe,
you pronounce his/her absolution, neither you declare the ended controversy, until him it is able
